Hi, everyone! I know at the moment I only have 480 watchers but I had to do this contest now before Earth Day because the earth needs our help.

Please don't click away just yet, there will be prizes at the end!

I know that a lot of people want to be ignorant about these things (me included sometimes) because what we don't know won't hurt us, right? So wrong. The earth is our home, we should all care about it and want to do whatever we can to help solve problems in it. I could spend this journal explaining to you about global warming, dying polar bears, and the production of harmful chemicals and plastics but we already know about these things. The problem here is that we spend so much of our time educating the public about the problems (which, -don't get me wrong- is a good thing) but we forget to mention everyday solutions to these problems.

That's where you come in. I am holding an art contest in celebration of Earth Day and there are some awesome prizes (If I get over 15 entries, as it's a lot of money and prizes I'm giving away)!!!

RULES

- Read why I'm holding the contest above

- Draw a picture of your OC(s) (human, MLP, furry, etc.) doing something that we could do to positively impact the earth (for example: recycling something, installing solar panels, etc. be creative!)

- Write a journal about this contest and why preserving the planet is important to you (videos or links to blogs about earth problems and solutions are bonuses!) and link the journal in the comment section below.

- When your picture is finished, please either note me or link it in the comment below as well.

I will be judging based on originality of your earth-saving solutions, not the quality of your artwork (although if you put effort into it it makes it nicer). The deadline is April 21, 2017 5:00 PM EST (so I can feature your work on Earth Day, the 22nd). Now on to the reason you're all here:

This contest is ... how to say it, well, I really like the concept that these users try to give! It is very cute!

My entry:

To explain it is my Main OC Symphony planting a plant. For those who do not know I like agriculture too, and when I read that to enter could do something like that just think: "Wow! If Symph does something for the environment, it has to be sow!"
I find it very beneficial! Nowadays, green spaces are scarce. Strange when you breathed in pure air and there were trees around every corner...
but bueh, I wish this activity were prolonged! I hope you have fun making your entries with messages like these ~

Recycling is a simple and very beautiful task, as shown in the drawing we can recycle the bottles to be pots and thus give life to new plants

Going without shampoo!
For those of you saying 'ew'
Do I have news for you-
Okay, I'm going to stop now, but you'd be surprised how much rhymes with 'poo'. All joking aside going without shampoo is a simple thing that nearly (with the exception of individuals with doctor prescribed shampoos who need whatever medication is in the shampoo in order to maintain their health and standard of life, if that is the case for you you have no obligation to stop using that shampoo) everyone can do. I know it sounds weird but it's a small, and actually very reasonable thing, any one can do that will not only have a positive impact on the heath of their hair, but the health of the environment as a whole.

The "OC" is simply me, doing anything I want to do - in this case riding all the way through Paris!
I think it's no brainer as to why preserving the planet is important: well, we happen to live here. And just like taking care of your home will determine your life (health) quality, same with taking care of the Earth. One thing why many people still not aware of it is because sometimes we don't see the cause and effect in short time, some dire consequences or disaster would just appear much later when all results of ignorance were accumulated.
Now what do I personally do in terms of preserving this planet? I guess like some others I've still got some not-so-ecofriendly habits like using chemicals in everyday life (soap, detergent, etc), but at least one thing I can do is to reduce the air pollution by using electric bicycle as everyday tran
